ROLE:             PLANETARY HEALTH GUIDE

 

The Planetary Health Centre is developing Planetary Health education, demonstration and research, including a Circular Water Demonstration Site, Neighbourhood News Platforms, an Exhibition Space, edible gardens, and events and workshop programs.

This position provides an opportunity to learn more about solutions to reduce the risk of disaster and to restore the health of our planet, and to then share this information with the wider community. Duties of a guide would be to share an overview of all, or parts of, the above at events and for visitors to the site. The training provided will equip guides to be advocates for action on Planetary Health.

 

BASIC TASKS:

– Communicating the activities of the Planetary Health Centre at events and for visitors to the site

– Explaining the Centre’s various programs, exhibitions and demonstrations

– Encouraging visitors to engage with the Planetary Health’s Digital Media Kiosk and to sign up for newsletters

– Marshalling or directing people around the site.

 

SKILLS NEEDED:

High level communication and interpersonal skills

An understanding of our current environmental challenges and planetary health issues
