Planetary Health Skill Share

ROLE: PLANETARY HEALTH SKILL SHARE
The Planetary Health Centre is building a Local Skills Register to identify those whose skills could be shared with the community to reduce the risk of disaster and restore the health of our planet: socially, environmentally, and economically.
As resources become available and community needs are identified, we will draw on the volunteers in our skills register to co-design, lead and/or participate in workshops and events.
Our first Skillshare program has been a Fashion Upcycling Program, training community members to sew and create patterns to give pre-loved clothing a new life. This has increased social connection, reduced textile waste, and saved participants money while also providing the skills and expertise for participants to create their own social enterprise.
BASIC TASKS:

- Work closely with the Planetary Health Team to co-design the Skillshare program, determine resources needed, and the dates on which it will be delivered.
