Planetary Health Events & Fundraising
ROLE: PLANETARY HEALTH EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING
The Planetary Health Centre runs a program of events from Open Days to forums, workshops, conferences and working bees.
It is also building ongoing relationships to grow philanthropic support and raise funds for its Planetary Health and Disaster Risk Reduction initiatives.
This position offers a wide range of opportunities to contribute to running successful events and raising funds for the Planetary Health Centre’s programs.
BASIC TASKS:
- Assisting the Planetary Health Team to deliver events, including setting up, welcoming and marshalling visitors, catering and packing down.
- Distributing posters and flyers in the lead up to events.
- Assisting the Planetary Health Team to run fundraising activities and to increase local and national connections to attract event participation and philanthropic support.
SKILLS NEEDED:
High level communication and interpersonal skills
Availability to work weekends and evenings
Demonstrated understanding of, and familiarity with, local community networks
Experience in fundraising
TIME COMMITMENT: DURATION OF POSITION:
2-4 hours per week (or when required for events) Ongoing
