Lis will discuss the Planetary Health program being designed to help Blue Mountains communities reduce the risk of disaster. She will also share examples of innovative water management techniques being developed locally. One example is Anne Mellor’s Japanese-inspired garden in Springwood which is featured in Springwood Area Local News and is reducing Anne’s risk of fire, flood and heatwave.

This program has been made possible as part of a Bioregional Collaboration for Planetary Health and is supported by the Disaster Risk Reduction Fund (DRRF). The DRRF is jointly funded by the Australian and New South Wales governments.
