Planetary Health Clubhouse, former Katoomba Golf Course, Acacia Street Katoomba

Learn how to build a Kitchen Garden in a day with friends – the Permaculture idea of a Permablitz – including compost, pond, herb spiral and sheet-mulched vegetable beds

In January 2022 a group of young Permaculture students built a Kitchen Garden at the Planetary Health Clubhouse. Learn how they did it between 9am and 3pm on Saturday 15 October.

The Kitchen Garden is part of the Edible Garden Trail – a celebration of the myriad ways Blue Mountains residents are creating food security, saving money and the environment, while enjoying the health benefits of home grown fruit and veg.
Over the weekend of 15th & 16th October 2022, backyard growers, large and small, from Lapstone to Hartley, will open their gardens to the public to share their passion and knowledge and inspire self-reliance.
