A Planetary Health Christmas

Saturday 12 November, 2022
9.30am – 2pm
Planetary Health Precinct (downstairs at the old Katoomba Golf Clubhouse, Acacia St Katoomba)

The Blue Mountains Women’s Shed, Boomerang Bags Blue Mountains and the Blue Mountains Planetary Health Initiative are joining forces to help us all have a Planetary Health Christmas that doesn’t cost the earth!

Reducing packaging doesn’t reduce quality of life – quite the reverse! We’ll be showcasing a range of Christmas ideas that you can make or buy that eliminate packaging waste – from shampoos and washing powders, to plants and seeds, to decorations and creative Christmas wrappings made of upcycled fabrics that can be reused again and again!

For those who are new to sewing, come along and learn how to use a sewing machine to make simple wrappings, produce bags, and boomerang bags, that all make great Christmas gifts.

Morning Tea will be provided but bring a Keep Cup and lunch if you’d like to stay on and learn more!
