DESCRIPTION:Start your weekend balancing your mind\, body and spirit with the gentle movement of Tai Chi and Qi Gong. \nBlue Mountains Planetary Health Initiative has introduced this gold-standard balanced health practice as part of their regular Skillshare Saturday on the first Saturday of every month. \nThe class is run by Virginia Field\, who has over 30 years of experience teaching Tai Chi\, and is held in a beautiful outdoor setting overlooking the Planetary Health Parklands in Katoomba\, or in our Studio if the weather is wet. \nThis class is the first in a full day of activities at the Planetary Health Centre which includes Fashion Upcycling at 9 am and and Bushcare at 1.30pm. \nContact Saskia on 0473 882 868 for more information.

SUMMARY:Planetary Health Bushcare
DESCRIPTION:First Saturday of the month\n1.30-4.30pm\nBlue Mountains Planetary Health Precinct & Parklands\n33-39 Acacia St Katoomba (in lower part of the site)\nOne of the most important ways we can contribute to restoring the health of our planet is to regenerate our bushland and swamps to provide habitat and food for wildlife. Come along and discover the joy of working with community and becoming an integral part of our local ecosystem at the Planetary Health Bushcare Group on the first Saturday of every month at the Planetary Health Precinct & Parklands in Katoomba. \n\nWe meet from 1.30 to 4.30pm. No experience is required. You will receive training on identifying native species\, and invasive weeds\, and training on how to treat/remove those weeds. Each session includes a delicious afternoon tea.\n\n\n\nAll tools\, gloves and training will be provided by Blue Mountains City Council’s Bushcare Officer.\n\nIf you have any enquiries or are interested to attend\, please contact Karen Hising (Bushcare Officer) via email at khising@bmcc.nsw.gov.au or call the Bushcare Office on 4780 5623.\n\nFull information as to what to wear and bring\, where to meet and what to expect during the work session will then be provided.
