Video Storytelling for Local News workshop

Learn foundational skills for video storytelling from award winning local filmmaker Kalani Gacon.
This workshop is part of a series giving people the tools to participate in creating stories for our local news platforms that share solutions for strengthening community, healing Country and restoring the health of our planet to reduce future disaster risk.
This workshop will explore principles of cinematography, audio design, editing and developing compelling stories.
By the end of this workshop, you will be equipped to generate video stories using equipment freely available online and/or accessible in any current mobile phone.
No experience necessary.
Bring a recording device you’re familiar with such as a phone or a tablet.
There is no fee for participation in these workshops, but we do require that you register by Wednesday 16th August.

These workshops are being produced as part of a Bioregional Collaboration for Planetary Health, supported by the Disaster Risk Reduction Fund (DRRF). The DRRF is jointly funded by the Australian and New South Wales governments.
