Housing Crisis Gathering & March: We want 'Somewhere to Live'

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

The housing 'system' is broken and we need urgent action from all levels of Government. On March 22nd we are gathering and marching to have our voices heard.

Too many people including single parents, older women, First Nations, LGBTQI+, and those living with a disability face additional barriers to secure, affordable and safe housing but key workers, young families and young people are facing an uncertain future as well.

We know that housing = health. And the health, resilience and cohesion of our community is dependent on us all having access to safe, secure and affordable housing. We want SOMEWHERE TO LIVE and to thrive.

Join us on March 22nd at 5pm at Junction 142 to have your voice heard. We will hear from community members about their experience of housing precarity and share our vision for a future. We will learn a song, 'Somewhere to Live' written by those experiencing housing stress, and march together to Peace Park to sing together in solidarity and peace.
