All About Bees! Natural Beekeeping Q & A with Tim Malfroy
22/09/2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm$10
Join us on Sunday, 22nd September, for a fascinating discussion with legendary local Blue Mountains beekeeper, Tim Malfroy, of Malfroy’s Gold!
Have all your natural beekeeping questions answered by a professional, best-practice natural beekeeper, who has been handling bees with his beekeeper dad since before he could walk!
This discussion and Q & A is for anyone who’s interested in natural beekeeping! Whether you have a hive and are actively beekeeping already, are planning to keep bees in the future, or are simply interested in learning more about bees, come along and have all your questions answered. With Spring just around the corner, it’s a great time to ask about first hive openings, catching/baiting swarms, and any questions specific to your location and climate, as Tim has experience from the lower to the upper mountains. Even if you’ve read the books, and done the demos and courses, there’s nothing like having access to a true expert to help you through any questions or problems and to ensure that you’re doing the very best you can for your bees. Tim Malfroy will not be teaching any other beekeeping courses this year, so if you have any questions you’d like answered, this is your one and only opportunity!
This morning will be an informed discussion and Q & A about all things natural beekeeping, but will not include working with live bees. We’ll also have a Warré hive on hand for you to take apart and look at in detail. Morning tea will be provided for a small donation, and a delicious lunch will be available for purchase at the end of the event, so you can sit in Lyttleton’s garden and enjoy the sunshine!
