Hi all,

we’re dropping you a line to keep you in the loop with what’s happening at the Blue Mountains Pluriversity.

As our Collaborative Social Enterprise Incubator Edgy BM continues to grow we’ve been creating work opportunities for young people involved in the Pluriversity. If you’d like to EARN & LEARN’ we’re also sharing other job opportunities on the Pluriversity website. Check them out here

Thanks to funding from Blue Mountains City Council’s City of the Arts Trust, we’ve been enjoying an exciting Arts Program which has included our first Artists’ Forum and an extremely inspiring workshop on Illustration and Storyboarding for Books and Film by Emma Magenta. You can check out how much fun everyone had in the video below:

Our next Artists Forum at Pigeon Lane in Katoomba will be at 6pm on Friday November 15. Join creators Taryn Srhoj (singer), Julian Renlong Wong (dancer) and Cindi Drennan (light artist) as they delve into their lives as artists and answer questions to give you an in-depth understanding of what it takes to support a creative career. Our graphic design intern Chloe McNamara has produced this newsletter and is helping us to promote the Forum (photo below). In the photo Josh is also showing off the seedpacks we created for the Rhodo Festival.

You can check out how to get to Pigeon Lane for the Forum in our video here

We even had an unexpected visit from Chef and TV presenter Paul West who gave some advice in the video below. He’s looking forward to doing a workshop with us next year.

Every fortnight we hold Youth Cafes which are an opportunity to share – share food, good company and ideas with other young people. Our next one is this Saturday with psychologist Dr Fred Orr who has recently written a book of poems and photographs on the Tarkine Wilderness in Tasmania. Read more below.

Look forward to catching up with you at one or more of our events and feel free to ring on 0407 437 553 if you have any questions. For more regular updates follow us on Facebook and Instagram

warmly,

Lis
